Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, and a city with around 800,000 inhabitants. It is located 3,5 hour drive from Budapest and it is highway all the way, so it should be easy to get there. Hungarian travel to Croatia every summer to enjoy the sea, and though they normally do not visit Zagreb (they just pass by as they travel towards the coast) it might be worth visiting the Croatian capital as well.

It is also worth knowing that Croatia has turned into a pearl when it comes to tourism the last years, and tourists from all over Europe travel to Croatia to enjoy the warm sea, cheap restaurants and nice hotels.
