Buda Castle Beer Festival
The festival immediately turned into a success, and now they have expanded the festival meaning that there will be stands on three different locations in the Buda Castle area, both on the side facing the Danube and on the other side of the castle building. There will be daily concerts during the beer festival inside the festival area, and you will have the chance to taste about 200 different beer types if you visit the area… but please, do not try all of them!
Inside the festival you get can borrow a card to which you can add money at several stands inside the area, and you later use this card everywhere as you pay for a beer, a Coke or something to eat. As you return the card you get remaining money and the deposit for the card back.
How to get to the beer festival?
If you come from the Pest side you should simply walk along the Danube until you arrive by the Chain Bridge. Walk across the bridge and then either travel with the funicular to the top, or use your legs (10 minute walk). As you arrive to the top you will be just by the festival area. If you want to travel with public transportation you can for example use bus 16 or 16A travel between Széll Kálmán Tér (Moszkva Tér) and Deák Ferenc Tér via the castle area. Make sure to get of the bus at Disz tér in case you want to visit the beer festival.
