The funicular was opened in 1870, but was bombed and destroyed during the Second World War. It was reopened again in 1986. It is located at Clark Adam Square in Budapest, which is on the Buda side of the Chain Bridge.

No adrenaline kick

The Funicular was a very nice way to visit the Castle Hill. The trip was though a bit short, but still it was a nice travel and I can absolutely recommend it. The price was not high (less than 1000 HUF pr. way), so that is something that I would absolutely say is affordable!
