The worlds second largest synagogue is located in the center of Budapest and it is possible to visit it privately or on guided tours. Inside the area you can also find a Jewish museum and a memorial of Raul Wallenberg

Guided tour

There are some different guided tours in the Synagogue and neighbourhood. I have tried the Essential Tour (by Hungária Koncert Kft.) , lasts 1,5 hour in English language. Entrance fees were included in the tour price. First of all we visited the Synagogue interior. This Synagogue is more than 150 year-old. This is the largest one in Europe. After we visited the Jewish Museum, where unique collection of jew art from Hungary and Eastern Europe is collected. We have seen the Raul Wallenberg Memorial Park and Tree of Life also, behind the Synagogue. This tour is available between 1. May and 30th October. I can recommend it for everybody.
