Budapest activities

Budapest activitiesIf you come to Budapest you will find a city with a whole lot of magnificent buildings, avenues and attractions built in the end of the 19th century. This was a period when the city used a lot of money on constructions, especially because of the 1000 year anniversary the city celebrated in 1896. For this occasion many buildings and sights were constructed, so walking through Budapest today will give you great insight in how buildings were built in this period.

Budapest kind of reminds us of Vienna, only that Vienna had better economy and were not oppressed by communists during the 20th century like Budapest were. So when communism ended in 1989 many buildings were in poor condition, but the city has since then used a lot of money, and still do, giving the city back the former beauty...

When coming to Budapest, do not miss out the extraordinary panorama to be found along the Danube, especially from the Gellert Hill!

But, you will probably not only want to eat Goulash soup, enjoy the view from the Gellért Hill and live in a nice hotel, but you also want to enjoy some cool programs. In Budapest you can join in on free guided tours, private guided tours, operas in the Hungarian State Opera, helicopter tours, walking inside caves, organ concerts and different Danube Cruises.

Look around for an activitiy that suits you and after you have checked it out, do not forget to come back and share your experience!
